What with the annual leave I had booked for August, Friday was my last day in the office as a member of staff.

I imagine everyone here is sick & tired of being told how wonderful they are, but I’d like to add my voice to that chorus and thank you all for your part in the terrific year I’ve had at Golden Sqaure. The skills and comitment of everyone here made the job great fun and allowed an awful lot to be achieved.

It’s been a pleasure to be part of such a dedicated team, not to mention one that knows how to party so consummately!

And with the vision and backing of our new owners, I think the business has a very exciting future, particularly in digital media and in the shift toward our output being considered as part of a multimedia, multiplatform network.

(Of course, if I’d sold Virgin Radio to UTV instead I might still have my fat cat job teaching old media how to be new media… No, no, don’t think like that… It’s not about you, it’s about the others. For some reason. Curses.)
