Hello One Golden Square,
It seems weeks ago since we all celebrated our win at this years Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards, picking up gold for our fantastic Virgin Mobile V Festival coverage.
What makes it even more special is that this award isn’t for just one specific person or presenter, this is completely a team effort. Every single department at One Golden Square is involved in some way, shape or form. Group hug anyone?
We also all have some great memories of V 2007…
…Our then Chief Executive, Paul Jackson (I wonder what he’s doing now?!) was one minute entertaining VIP clients, the next he was in the studio producing some of the shows!
…Geoff crowd surfing in the VIP tent.
…Cat & Clare, from our lovely Marketing and PR team, keeping calm while at the same time trying to accommodate demands from VIP’s and colleagues.
…Al Murray, the Pub Landlord and McFly all on the Virgin Radio stage.
…Russ Williams trying to be cool by turning up in a pink stretch limo.
…That hot chocolate and delicious chocolate brownie van.
…Amanda, Lisa and Zoe doing a great job on the door stopping the blaggers.
…The Rolls in the water.
…Our festival couple, Ben and Sarah, doing non stop interviews prior to their nightly shows.
…And of course, the celebrity spotting game we all played in our VIP area - how many members of Hollyoaks, Holby City or Big Brother contestants did you spot!
Since winning the award, many colleagues at Team One (that’s everyone at One Golden Square, I’m just trying to be trendy with the wording!) have asked if they could hear the audio of our winning entry. So I thought I would share the love and audio of the Virgin Mobile V Festival 2007 winning entry, enjoy!
Here’s to a great V in 2008.
Bing.

Sadly I missed the coverage, as when all was happening I was probably asleep! Now’s the first time I’ve heard the clips, and yes, it deserves the win - all that it’s-a-big-thing-and-you’re-included feel. Kudos!
