Hi Clive,

As I tried my best to receive a Pure Chronis idock DAB radio through "haven't heard it for ages" without success I bought my own to wake up and fall asleep to. I am now looking to buy a Pure Highway DAB for the car in the near future... unless, of course, you allow me to win one...

So now I wake up, listen in my car going to work, listen online at work, listen coming back from work and when I go to bed... even my evening TV time is eroded by listening to the Geoff so all that is left is listening whilst asleep... any ideas?

I'm glad you don't have to pay for the podcasts, as at the moment, they are rubbish! Geoff has become almost unlistenable due to them, and Tim Shaw has the same problem. It's a real shame because I've been listening for 10 months to them, and it's only now that I'm considering otherwise (despite loving the shows!!!)

Clive - I think it's worth pointing out that an MP3 player wouldn't play adverts a few times every hour!
But I fully agree with you- radio has a lot more to it than just playing songs. Even if it's just a quick comment on how good the previous song was, it adds to the listening experience.

@James- Have to disagree with you on Iain Lee and Tim Shaw. I for one like my radio to play more music during the day, like when I'm driving to work. However, during the late evening I have other options such as watching tv or sleeping. However I choose to tune into these shows because I find them very funny, but I can see how it's not for everybody.

Have a look at Radio 2's scheduling- during the day it's a lot more general, but during the evenings you'll see a lot more specialist programming, which again, wouldn't be to everyone's taste but would still attract an audience.

Good music, 90% of the time. However I still don't understand where Iain Lee, and the new guy, Tim Shaw, fit in. Far too much talk! for a music station. Geoff gets away with it, most of the time.

Get them to shut up and play more music, or sell them to Talk Radio !

It depends what mp3 player you buy. Mine can not only play your podcasts but also get 'up to date news, traffic, travel and sports information' in fact I can even use it to record your station and play it back later.

It does just depend if the mp3 player in named after a type of furit... mine isn't! :)
