Here’s a quick guide to what’s coming up on weekday evenings during October, and in particular, Ben’s last hour, which is always something a bit special.

Thursdays – THE 90S HOUR, 11pm-midnight
A whole hour of tracks from the decade that brought us Oasis, Nirvana and Radiohead, Grunge and Britpop, Green Day and Bjork, Garbage and Blur.

Tuesdays – THE A TO Z HOUR, 11pm-midnight
Ben picks a letter each week and plays an hour of songs beginning with this letter.
Next week: the letter ‘R’. Go crazy fans of ‘R’-songs.

Mondays – THE ALBUM HOUR, 11pm-midnight
Every Monday, between 11pm and midnight, Ben plays an album out in its entirety. It could be a Classic Album or something new we’ve taken delivery of that week

A whole hour of music from our featured artist - including live tracks and fan favourites

Wednesday 15th October –1 hour of ERIC CLAPTON (Cream, Derek and the Dominoes, solo) to include a very special live performance from earlier this year, from 11pm-midnight

Wednesday 22nd October – To mark the release of their first album in 8 years Brian Johnson and Angus Young join us to talk us through a whole hour of AC/DC classics, from 11pm-midnight

Wednesday 29th October – In the run-up to the U.S election we give you 1 hour of songs about AMERICA from 11pm-midnight

Wednesday 5th November – we’re in LIVERPOOL for a very special event so it would be rude not to give you a full hour of the best ever bands from this most musical of cities, from 11pm-midnight

Wednesday 12th November – 1 hour of SIMPLE MINDS, who tour the UK celebrating 30 years of live tours and gigs, from 11pm-midnight

Wednesday 19th November – In celebration of their forthcoming album, Absolute Radio will be asking it’s listeners to VOTE FOR THE TOP 10 KILLERS TRACKS so far. Hear the results – and a few that got away – from 11pm-midnight

Wednesday 26th November – The NEW WARCHILD ALBUM ‘Heroes’ is released this week: great cause, great songs. We’ll have 1 hour of the choice tracks from the 4 Warchild albums; 1995’s Help!, 2002’s 1Love, 2005’s Help2: A Day In The Life and the new one (features the Kooks covering The Kinks, Duffy doing ‘Live and Let Die’ and Beck covering Dylan) from 11pm-midnight.
