Interesting Radio Statistics

James Cridland, who used to work here, and now works for the BBC, maintains a popular radio blog. He’s just published some interesting radio statistics, that are definitely worth reading.

I believe James Cridland invented the internet as well.

    That is correct. I did.

Interested stalkers might like to know that I appear to now be BBC Radio Sheffield’s breakfast show in-house new media specialist (if the “house” is contribution studio GB in central London). Toby Foster’s Bigger Breakfast is much like Christian O’Connell, except he doesn’t play any records, and he’s got a bloke called Paul who works with him rather than a bloke called Brian (Paul’s even less funny, if that’s possible). I’ve been on there twice so far. It’s a far cry from being called an axe murderer by Pete Mitchell (he of Pete and Geoff fame) on national radio, or indeed doing a week’s worth of quite appalling Mick Jagger impersonations, but it’s a start.

In other news, I’m wondering if Marty’s boss is still an asshole, and also wondering whether ‘asshole’ will make it through Absolute’s clearly top-notch compliance system on this blog.

He’s still a lazy fat asshole, James. Fuggetaboutit!

(if the word asshole was edited out, it would eliminate a significant portion of my vocabulary)
