Absolute Radio will be celebrating the anniversary of the Beatles last ever public performance; on the rooftop of the Apple Corps building in Saville Row, London, on the 30th of January 1969.
Christian O Connell kicks off a day of Beatles- related activity, which will include some very special live performances.

The Seattle folk-rock band featured heavily in many of 2008’s end-of-year album polls; their sound drawing comparisons with classic artists like Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. The band play live for Geoff Lloyd.

40 YEARS OF JOHN & YOKO’S BED-IN

Friday 20th and Saturday 21st March on Geoff Lloyd’s Hometime Show, 17:00 – 20:00

Radio’s biggest Beatles fan, Geoff Lloyd, sets out to track down Yoko Ono to join him in a suite at Amsterdam’s Hilton to commemorate the 40th anniversary of John & Yoko’s famous bed-in for peace on the 21st of March 1969.

The new Warchild album is released this week: great cause and great songs.

On Monday night Ben Jones will put together one hour of the choice tracks from the four Warchild albums so far; 1995′s ‘Help!’, 2002′s ‘1Love’, 2005′s ‘Help2: A Day In The Life’ and the new album ‘Warchild – Heroes’

U2 WEEK

Ben Jones celebrates the most eagerly awaited rock album of 2009 with a week of activity centred around U2.
