If someone asked you to be involved in the most high profile and expensive US Presidential campaign race of all time, take up a role in the Sopranos, play the half time show at the Superbowl alongside Bruce Springsteen to an estimated audience of almost 100 million people and broadcast a radio show on Absolute Radio, you’d think that it would be a good day to buy a lottery ticket – if only you had the time.
Fortunately for us, Little Steven of The E Street band has found the time and will be joining Absolute Classic Rock to broadcast his hugely popular “Underground Garage” show every Monday night at 8pm. With music from The Beatles, The Stones and Muddy Waters, to REM, Paul Weller and Nina Simone, the show celebrates all things blues and classic rock. Proclaimed by Steven himself as “The Only Rock and Roll Dance Party on The Radio” we can expect an upbeat and anecdotal journey through guitar music each week.
The show kicks off on Monday the 9th of February at 8pm and this week, Steven honours the Beatles as it is 45 years since the band first appeared on the Ed Sullivan show in New York City.
