Absolute Radio to Sponsor Music Week Award

Absolute Radio is sponsoring the Music Venue of the Year at this week’s Music Week Awards. The awards are taking place at Grosvenor House next Wednesday and the illustrious Geoff Lloyd will be presenting the award.

This award sponsorship signifies the beginning of a long term relationship with Music Week; specifically with their new artists initiative – Unearthed.

Unearthed will run monthly live events with both signed and unsigned artists performing and a number of venues across the country including Rough Trade East. The Absolute Radio Zoo will also be a potential venue for the sessions.

    Geoff? Our Geoff Lloyd? How did you cajole/coerce/compel (throw in your own similar word here) to do this?

    I have a theory. The real Geoff passed away and was replaced by an exact double. If you play one of his podcasts backwards, you can hear a voice say “Geoff is dead.”
