We’re always trying out new talent here at Absolute, usually in the dead of night when you’re all tucked up in bed. So last Bank Holiday Monday, in the spirit of adventure we had a new boy come in and have a bash at the controls and people seem to be asking who the hell this fella is so… allow me to explain:
His name is Mark Crossley, he won last year Student Radio Awards for a show he did at Fly FM in Nottingham. He’s only 21 and officially the Best Male of 2008.
He happily admits he spent his last year at Uni “interviewing bands, creating silly features, writing song parodies, taking part in fancy dress activities and various fundraisers on air… all while having a good laugh with my mates, and usually while still recovering from the night before!
“In the process, myself and the station managed to get nominated for a stupid number of awards, which has in turn led to me getting a job on the proper radio, where I get to play some top tunes and laugh at your drunken texts.”
Other random facts about him I found on t’internet include – he’s 6ft 1, an atheist, doesn’t drink coffee or TV, a Letterman (not a Leno) man, once met Bodger and Badger and proudly won School Leaver Of The Year when I he was 11!
