Radio Head

A new book was published last week – Radio Head – by John Osborne. No, not our John Osborne. Another one.

The book is one person’s experiences listening to lots of different radio stations to help him through his mundane data entry job. And chapter one is about us! Well in our old Virgin Radio guise, but that still means Christian and Geoff, Neil and Russ (the book was actually written early last year).

Anyway, you can listen to it yourself this week over on Radio 4 where it’s the Book of the Week. Yesterday’s episode was the one that featured us, and Christian in particular. So why not have a listen? (BBC iPlayer link live until next Monday).

Why does the UK have so many people named John Osborne? I now know of 3 of them. The Absolute Radio one, the guy who wrote the article, and the playwright.

Any other John Osbornes deserve a mention?

Sorry for that Andy. I didn’t vote for either one of those assholes.

Don’t worry mate, I didn’t vote for Tony Blair. And no-one voted for Gordon Brown!

I have to sincerely apologise and express shame about my nationality in every Muslim country that I visit. Luckily it’s easy to do that as I hate Mr. Bush & Mr. Blair as much as anybody i’ve ever met in Istanbul or Tehran.
