Muse – United States of Eurasia (14th September)
An album track, and first taster, from one of the most eagerly anticipated records of the year. The new Muse album will be called ‘The Resistance’ and is due for release worldwide on September the 14th. This track, ‘United States of Eurasia’, has just been made available to fans who were able to unlock different parts of the track online and piece them together. The first single proper from the album will be called ‘Uprising’ and will be delivered to radio in 2 weeks time. In the meantime… enjoy this!

Pearl Jam – The Fixer (7th September)
Coming up to 20 years in the business, the grunge legends are back with one of their finest singles in a long time. New album ‘Backspacer’ is due in September. Pearl Jam’s multi-million-selling debut ‘Ten’ was reissued earlier this year – the first in the planned re-release of the band’s entire catalogue – and a Cameron Crowe movie retrospective on the band is also supposed to be in the pipeline.

Ivyrise – 1000 Feet (31st August)
Very promising single from a new London rock band. In 2008, as winners of a competition ran by ‘thelondonpaper’, the 4-piece got to support Bonjovi on their Lost Highway Tour at Twickenham. The band have been recording their album with Producer Alan Moulder, famed for his work with Creation bands like My Bloody Valentine and Ride, as well as Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, U2, The Killers and Arctic Monkeys.

Athlete – Superhuman Touch (17th August)
‘Superhuman Touch’ is the first single from Athlete’s forthcoming album ‘Black Swan’ (24th August). The Deptford 4-piece were Mercury-nominated for their debut album and picked up an Ivor Novello award for ‘Wires’ from 2005’s double-platinum followup ‘Tourist’. The band’s recent sold-out Somerset House show was the fastest-selling of this year’s series of gigs at the London venue – and they play the V Festival in August.

Jet – She’s A Genius (24th August)
The Melbourne 4-piece return with their first release in 3 years, from new album ‘Shaka Rock’ (September 7th). Jet’s debut album did about 3 and half million copies worldwide and the band recently played with Coldplay at the massive Sydney ‘Sound Relief’ gig in aid of the Victorian Bushfire Crisis. Jet play the V Festival with a UK tour to follow in September
