Elbow – Mirrorball (available now)
Elbow, winners of the Best British Group at 2009’s Brit Awards, play T-in-The-Park this weekend (Sunday 12th July) and the V Festival in August.
Absolute Radio will be featuring this stunning track, from their award-winning album ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’, in the run up to the V Festival.
Lily Allen – 22 (24th August)
3rd single from Lily’s 2nd album ‘It’s Not Me It’s You’ which has sold 1.5 million copies worldwide so far
Lily plays T-in-The-Park in Scotland this Sunday (12th July) and continues her world tour with dates in the UK in November and December.
Arctic Monkeys – Crying Lightning (17th August)
New song available to download now, with physical copies released on the 17th of August. It’s the 1st single from the band’s 3rd album ‘Humbug’ which follows on the 24th of August. The band are one of the headliners at Reading and Leeds festivals in August (alongside Kings of Leon and Radiohead).
Kasabian – Where Did All The Love Go? (17th August)
New single from the band’s number 1 album ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ – and follow-up to their hit ‘Fire’. Kasabian support Oasis at Wembley Stadium this weekend before heading out on a big UK tour in November.
Raygun – Just Because (3rd August)
Raygun are a new 4-piece band of 20-somethings from London and this is their debut single. They recently supported Pink on her European tour.
Hockey – Song Away (17th August)
New band from Portland, Oregon (USA) – hometown to the Dandy Warhols.
They play T-In-The-Park and Reading and Leeds festivals this summer and their debut album ‘Mind Chaos’ is released 24th of August.
Mazzy Star – Into Dust (available now)
This track dates from 1993 and the Californian band’s 2nd album ‘So Tonight That I Might See’, which also contains their best known song ‘Fade Into You’.
In 2009 the song has been picked up by an advert (Virgin Media’s mobile phone ad) and sounds rather beautiful.
