Absolute Radio and the Pure Sensia

We’ve got some cool news about how our listeners can access Absolute Radio on a groundbreaking new radio which launches today. As new technology arrives it gives us a whole range of new ways to offer more information and interaction to anyone listening.

Which is why we’ve been working with the team at Pure on the launch and promotion of their new radio, the Sensia. It lets you listen to internet radio, podcasts, DAB/DAB+ and FM, but the first thing you’ll notice is the huge touchscreen slap bang in the middle of it! That screen allows you to see radio station slideshows, as well as applications for the weather, news, Picasa, Facebook and Twitter.

So we can offer even more stuff to anyone listening to Absolute Radio (Or Absolute Classic Rock or Absolute Xtreme). Plus it looks cool, the touch screen is good fun to use, and it sounds great with 30 stereo sound.

It’ll be easy to spot in shops, as our very own Christian O’Connell is featured on the box, on the screen protector, in the brochure, and he’s even making a virtual video appearance at the launch whilst simultaneously broadcasting the Breakfast Show.

And we’re also able to offer 4 lucky listeners/website visitors the chance to win a Sensia (Worth £249.99) each week until it goes into shops. There’s one chance to win during the Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show from 9am every Thursday, two chances during the No Repeat Guarantee, and one chance running until midnight online. And it’ll happen again on September 24th, October 1st and October 8th.

Will this radio operate in the US?

The radio looks really cool. Unfortunately, until such time as Absolute Radio and its sister stations are available on DAB in Northern Ireland, I will have to make do with 1215 AM and its interference.
