Dave Gorman Joins Absolute Radio

Dave Gorman

Some very exciting news this afternoon. After three weeks of sitting in for Frank Skinner in the summer, which took his podcast to the coveted number one spot in iTunes, we are overjoyed to welcome the enormous comedic talents of Dave Gorman to Absolute Radio.

Currently on a cycle powered stand-up tour of Britain Dave himself says: “When sitting in for Frank Skinner on Absolute Radio everything seemed to just fit. Except one thing. It always felt like we were starting 24 hours too early. I’m delighted to discover that the station bosses feel the same way and that I’m being allowed back to do more of the same that crucial day later.”

Dave’s won two BAFTA awards, has performed countless hit stand-up tours including Are You Dave Gorman?, Dave Gorman’s Goodlewhack Adventure and presented TV programmes including Genius and America Unchained. The Sunday morning show, on air from 10am to midday, will be Absolute Radio’s second commission from Avalon, producers of such programmes as Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Al Murray’s Happy Hour and the really rather special Frank Skinner show on Absolute Radio.

Dave follows Frank as another immensely talented, high profile addition to the Absolute Radio family. He will be with us from Sunday October 11th.

Wow. A sign of good things to come, I hope. (And I wonder why my comments are not even going through. Odd.)

Ah good, and a more reasonable time too! I always missed Frank Skinner being on between 8am & 10am.
