Biffy- mid length park shot at dusk

Biffy Clyro – The Captain (26th October)
Brand new single from the Ayrshire trio – and its another cracker, following recent Top 10 single ‘That Golden Rule’ and 2008 anthem ‘Mountains’ (from previous album ‘Puzzle’). The Scottish band’s 5th album will be called ‘Only Revolutions’ and is released on the 9th of November. Biffy tour the UK in November, continuing a hectic couple of years in which they have played with the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rolling Stones, Muse, Linkin Park and The Who.

Mumford & Sons – Little Lion Man (28th September)
An utterly distinctive track and recent Hometime Record-of-the-Week. Mumford & Sons are a 4-piece from West London, and were first tipped as ones to watch by Absolute Radio in December 2008. They are often associated with folk-pop contemporaries like Noah & The Whale and the Mercury-nominated Laura Marling. Their album ‘Sigh No More’ is due in October.

Robbie Williams – Bodies (12th October)
We asked you what you thought and you voted in your thousands. It was close. But we wanted a result, and the result was ‘Yes’ – you want to hear Robbie’s new single on Absolute Radio, or at least 51.5% of you do. ‘Bodies’ is the 1st single from the album ‘Reality Killed The Video Star’ (released November 9th). Both the album and single have been produced by legendary producer Trevor Horn, a figure instrumental in the success of artists like Frankie Goes To Hollywood, ABC, Seal and others, as well as the man behind The Buggles’ 1979 hit ‘Video Killed The Radio Star’.

Green Day – East Jesus Nowhere (12th October)
New single from the #1 album ‘21st Century Breakdown’. Singer/guitarist Billy Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool return to the UK for a sold-out tour this Autumn, starting in Glasgow on October the 19th.

The Yeah You’s – Getting Up With You (14th September)
2nd single from the London duo, who count Queen among their influences. Their debut album ‘Looking through You’ is set for release at the end of September.
