There was much excitement in the Absolute Radio Zoo this morning as the FIFA World Cup arrived in the station as the trophy came through London as part of the Coca-Cola sponsored Trophy Tour, accompanied by ex-England striker Teddy Sheringham.
Christian, Richie, Maggie and of course Russ, all had their pictures taken. And then half the station’s staff queued up to get face to face with the actual Trophy and have our own photos taken. This isn’t a replica! A mirror under the base of Trophy displayed the engraved names of all the winners since 1974 (when this trophy was adopted), proving that this is the original. Roll on the summer!
