Absolute Radio’s streamed listening and podcast figures are now available. This month we have added Quarterly smartphone application downloads with a recap of Q4:2009 Rajar results.
Absolute Radio is still the only commercial station which is publicly releasing monthly details of the station’s worldwide live streamed listening hours. This measurement system uses server data from digital streams with actual listening collected from multiple computers or internet devices, the most accurate measurement of digital I.P listening hours and provides further accountability for our customers & stakeholders.
In March, the Absolute Radio Network streamed a record 7.9 million hours of live audio, a 5% increase since February.
A record 1,141,000 podcasts were also downloaded in the month which is up a massive 25% from the previous record of 912,000 set in February and with Baddiel & Skinner Absolute Radio podcasts from South Africa launching in May this year, that figure is only set to grow.
605,149 Absolute Radio mobile applications have now been downloaded across all platforms with 204,000 listening hours streamed via a mobile app last month. Absolute Radio apps are available are now also available on the new Apple iPad as well as the iPhone, Android, Symbian (Nokia) and BlackBerry.
