Absolute Radio has launched Absolute Radio Live with an exclusive Paul Weller gig yesterday in the intimate surroundings of the Absolute Radio Zoo, with the after party at the Iron Maiden owned Sanctum hotel.

This year, Absolute Radio’s live offering is deeper and more extensive than ever before spanning across a summer of live concerts, events, festivals, bands and ticket giveaways in association with swiftcover.com. Listeners will be given the chance to be there (through on air and online ticket giveaways), listen live on air, and discover online at absoluteradio.co.uk giving the our reluctant adult audience the chance to experience all of the summer’s best live events this year.

Over the summer Absolute Radio will have a presence at no less than four of the nation’s favourite music festivals, the Isle of Wight Festival, Hard Rock Calling, V Festival and Latitude. This is the first time that we’ll have worked with the Latitude Festival as the festival’s exclusive radio partner.

The station will be broadcasting live from some of these festivals, presenting live shows including the award-winning Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show and Geoff Lloyd Hometime from the festival sites, playing out live stage sets, interviewing all the top acts and bringing all the gossip and stories from the festivals.

Online, www.absoluteradio.co.uk will be updated live from all of the summers live events including stage photography, backstage pictures and gossip, and our audience will also be reached via social media, as they’ll be able to follow www.facebook.com/absoluteradio and www.twitter.com/absoluteradio for the latest competitions, updates and more.

As well as festivals we will also be sending listeners and broadcasting live from to a multitude of music concerts this year including the much anticipated Kings of Leon concerts in Hyde Park this summer.
