Green Day – Last of The American Girls (14th June)
Green Day return to the UK in June for some huge shows at Lancashire County Cricket Ground (16th), Wembley Stadium (19th) and Glasgow SECC (21st). This great track will be the final single lifted from their 8th album ‘21st Century Breakdown’. It will be backed with a new song from their stage show ‘American Idiot’, which recently launched on Broadway.
Fyfe Dangerfield – She’s Always A Woman (available now)
Fyfe Dangerfield’s version of the Billy Joel song is being used to soundtrack the current John Lewis advert. His album ‘Fly Yellow Moon’ is available now and features the singles ‘She Needs Me’ and ‘Faster Than The Setting Sun’ (both Geoff Lloyd Records of The Week ). Fyfe’s band Guillemots are due to return later this year.
Vampire Weekend – Holiday (7th June)
New single from the New Yorker’s 2nd album ‘Contra’. A little burst of sunshine clocking in at a cheeky 2 minutes and 5 seconds. Vampire Weekend have a busy summer of festivals in the UK including Isle of Wight festival, Glastonbury, T-in-The-Park and Latitude, which they headline on the Sunday night.
