V&S Vin & Sprit AB and TIML Radio Limited Announce Settlement Ending Legal Dispute Between the Companies

Today a settlement was announced ending the legal dispute in the English High Court in relation to claims of trade mark infringement and passing-off from V&S Vin & Sprit AB, the owner of Swedish vodka brand ABSOLUT, and TIML Radio Limited, owners of the Absolute Radio brand.   The terms of the settlement are confidential. 

“I am pleased with the outcome of this matter which will enable us to continue to develop the iconic ABSOLUT brand without risk of confusion to the public” said Paula Eriksson, spokesperson for V&S.

“Absolute Radio is pleased with this settlement which will see us continue to build our music radio brand and advance our position as one of the leading commercial radio networks in a digital age” said Clive Dickens for TIML.

    I am pleased that both sides where able to reach an amicable agreement. This is very good news.
