Absolute Radio host the BBC’s Audio & Music interactive team

On Wednesday, Absolute Radio played host to The BBC’s Audio & Music interactive department, the team that look after all web activity, red button and social networks for the BBC radio stations, music programmes on the TV and all the big annual events including The Proms, Glastonbury and so on.

This team meets four times a year to share ideas, case studies and war stories. The main meeting takes place at Broadcasting House, however for the first time, yesterday’s meeting saw members of the department take part in ‘break-out’ sessions outside of the BBC to discuss, learn and share views on innovation with partners and friends.

Absolute Radio’s One Golden Square Labs team were one of the chosen few (along with others such as Media Trust, The Telegraph and Somethin’ Else) asked to host a break-out session and seeing as ‘innovation’ is our middle name, we were really excited about having them over to the lab.

Some of the topics discussed were Absolute80s, dabbl, Apple Nano tagging and CompareMyRadio, which we hope all enjoyed – I saw on twitter that someone particularly liked the video demo!

The BBC Audio & Music interactive department used Twitter and live blogging to share what they were learning and used the hashtag #amint for others to follow the day.
