You’ll be hearing a new voice on-air this weekend.

Sandy Warr is joining our freelance team covering ad-hoc News & Sport shifts across the Absolute Radio network.

She has more than 20 years experience on-air working with Chris Tarrant on Capital FM, as the’ radio wife’ to Simon Bates, Tony Blackburn, and Paul Ross. She’s also presented on the Today Programme, Five Live, Sky News, LBC, Smooth and Talk Radio, and anchored her own Business, Sport , Politics and Entertainment shows.

Her first shift on Absolute Radio will be reading the news for Frank Skinner on Saturday 4th September.

We have a great bunch of News, Sport & Travel freelancers who cover bulletins and support the work of our in-house journalists, so it’s a good opportunity to give them a roll-call and say thanks for all their hard work!
