Android users can now listen to the entire Absolute Radio network, along with more than 300 other UK stations from the BBC, commercial radio, community and student radio on the Radioplayer app for Android.
The free Android app has all the benefits and ease-of-use that can currently be found in Radioplayer’s web and iPhone apps, which are already accessed by over 7 million unique users. Users can store their favourite stations as presets, search for and discover live and catch-up radio, see what’s trending, get recommendations, and share listening via social media.
Radio stations can also choose to enrich the experience for listeners and advertisers with additional features and visual content, delivered via a live web view that’s built into the app.
Radioplayer is the best way to hear all UK radio in one place, and freedom to choose is always a good thing. So, we will continue to let our audience choose whether to listen to Absolute Radio via Radioplayer’s new app, or by using one of our feature-packed and free radio apps that are already available for all major mobile platforms.
This is a great example of the UK radio industry collaborating for the benefit of everyone and Absolute Radio has worked closely with other key players to make this happen.
