Now we knew they were good, they’ve won awards for Best Live Band for heaven’s sake, and Biffy Clyro’s special acoustic set for us at Abbey Road this week blew us all away.
Almost three years to the day since they put on that special gig in the House of Commons for us, Simon, James and Ben belted out some of their old hits in front of an audience made up of lucky listeners, including ‘Many of Horror,’ as well as some new tracks from their latest album ‘Opposites,’ such as ‘Different People,’ and ‘Biblical.’
And during ‘Mountains,’ lead singer Simon made the audience laugh after going blank and admitting he’d forgotten the words, before suddenly remembering them again and carrying on like a trooper, to the delight of the crowd!
Biff Clyro set list
Before they took to the stage, to promote their sixth studio album, a double album released this week, the Brit nominated Scottish rock band spoke to our very own Pete Donaldson and shock, ‘Many of Horror,’ James admitted to stealing some cutlery from the House of Commons when they peformed there for us back in January 2010!
You’ll be able to watch the gig in full at absoluteradio.co.uk from next week and the interview will feature on the Sunday Night Music Club with Pete Donaldson from 10pm on February 10th.
