Absolute Radio and Avalon have created a brand new radio comedy show entitled ‘A Design For Life’ as part of a cross media campaign to promote Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). This will be our first foray into ad-funded programming and opens up an exciting new platform for future brand partners.
The FSCS provide last resort compensation for customers of authorised financial services firms and aims to reassure the British public that their savings are protected.
‘A Design For Life’ will run across six episodes that will highlight FSCS’s key messaging. The shows will present a not entirely serious look at the important things in life including holidays, home, university days, marriage and more. They will be spread out over the next year to tie in with an integrated media campaign with The Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday and the Metro.
The first episode will focus on retirement and will feature Christian O’Connell, Rock N Roll Football’s Ian Stone with contributions from well-known comedians. The show will air on Sunday 10th February on Absolute Radio from 7-8pm.
Episode 2 will cover the topic of university on Sunday 10th March from 7-8pm as the series takes shape with future performances from Ian Wright, Geoff Lloyd, Annabel Port, Pete Donaldson and further well-known comedians, set to be revealed at a later date.
The broadcasts will be followed by ‘Spotlight’ features over the following weeks with a mix of comedy highlights and FSCS information. Listeners will also be able to catch-up with the programmes from an FSCS-branded section of the Absolute Radio website.
‘A Design For Life’ is produced by Avalon- a leading producer of award-winning comedy and entertainment programmes for radio and television including the Absolute Radio Frank Skinner show. Promotional on air trails and microsite will go live from Wednesday 6th February with call to action to tune into Episode 1 on Sunday 10th February from 7pm.
