InStream, which is already active on all of the stations own IOS and Android apps, provides Absolute Radio account holders with fewer adverts that are more relevant to them. The service ensures that ad breaks include audio and visual showcases for station partners, tailoring messaging by age, gender, location and more. This allows for promotional messaging to stand out in breaks with fewer adverts – a key benefit for logged-on listeners.
The InStream enabled Absolute Radio Player App for Kindle Fire HD offers listeners the chance to scroll seamlessly through main station programming while on the move, as well as digital offerings Absolute Radio 60s, Absolute Radio 70s, Absolute 80s, Absolute Radio 90s, Absolute Radio 00s and Absolute Classic Rock.
The eye catching design and UI allows listeners to tune into their favorite shows directly in-app, download or share music, buy gig tickets through the Absolute Radio ticket store and more.
The app includes instant access to Absolute Radio’s complete podcast archive. With over 20,000 free podcasts to choose from, users can save their favorites and be notified when a new episode is available. Access to all of the top interviews with artists, celebrities and presenters are available in app, via the Absolute Radio YouTube channel.
The app also allow listeners to interact directly with the Absolute Radio studio over the phone, using SMS, email and AudioBoo as well as social network sharing functions via Facebook and Twitter.
The station broke new ground in November 2012 when it extended its innovative online and mobile advertising tool InStream to a third party mobile application for the very first time, when it launched within the new Radio player mobile app.
The Absolute Radio Player App for Kindle Fire is available to download from Amazon.co.uk, the unified storefront for books, apps, movies, music, TV shows and more.
