Hot off the heels of our hilarious new comedy panel show The Manuscript, we’re pleased to announce the return of Absolute Radio’s Comedy Emporium to the Cornbury Festival, for the third year in a row, where we’ll be helping this family friendly music and comedy event celebrate its 10th anniversary.
One of the best MC’s in the country, stand-up comedian Ed Gamble, who’s appeared on Russell Howard’s ‘Good News’ and supported Greg Davies on his recent tour, will host proceedings from Friday 4th – Sunday 7th July. Topping the bill on Friday will be the star of hit TV series ‘Derek,’ Brian Gittins, aka character actor David Earle.
Then taking to the stage in our comedy tent the following day will be Henning Wehn, the biggest German stand-up working in the UK right now, with Sunday’s highlight the brilliant Lee Nelson, so expect a “Qwalitteeee!” performance!
Providing the music over the weekend will be the likes of Squeeze, who will headline on Friday, The Proclaimers share the stage with Saturday’s main act Keane, while Amy MacDonald will help close the curtain on what’s expected to be another fantastic weekend in Oxfordshire, with headliner Van Morrison on the Sunday.
Absolute Radio will be interviewing the biggest names on the Cornbury line-up over the weekend and if you can’t make it to this uniquely British festival then you’ll be able to watch our video interviews at absoluteradio.co.uk.
