Absolute Radio - Oct 2009 (draft)

According to RAJAR Q3:09 Absolute Radio Network now reaches more target adults in London than Virgin Radio this time last year.

With the re-brand confusion and under-reporting of audience by RAJAR still effecting our published numbers this number is an important milestone.

Just imagine where we will be in another 12 months?

Have a good weekend.

Do You Want To Sleep In David Tennant’s Bed?

BC_DT001

If so, then tune into Christian O’Connell’s breakfast show tomorrow morning.

David Tennant, the current Doctor Who, is co-hosting the Christian O’Connell Absolute Radio Breakfast Show this week and had a surprise for Christian as he announced that he had a gift for listeners – he has decided to auction off his own bed live on the breakfast show! Tennant is moving house and as part of the process has decided that it is time to give up on his long loved, 22 year-old double bed which he describes as “a nasty old bed that’s seen some action!”

He said, “It’s a bit bed-knobs and broomsticks. It’s got a big tatty brass bedstead which I’d describe as shabby chic. It’s going with the mattress too – it’s the bed that I’ve been sleeping in for the past 15 years. It’s well used and has seen some good times and some action I can tell you, but it’s time for me to move on.”

All proceeds of the auction will be going to a charity close to the Doctor’s heart – Children in Need. Check out the pictures of the bed here.
