Revised figures published today show that instead of flat growth in the summer, radio ad revenues actually increased.
350 brands spent over £60,000 on radio, the highest number on record, during the third quarter of 2011.
This is a rise of 10% over the same timescale last year.

She may only have been here for six weeks but new planner Kayli Franklin has proved herself to be an excellent addition to the Sales team.
As such it wasn’t a huge surprise when her efforts were recognised by one of the agencies on our patch. Simon Pearce, Head of Insight, arrived in reception today with colleague Claire D’Silva to present Kayli with RadioWorks Media Team’s quarterly “Outstanding Service Award” and a rather large bottle of champagne.
The award goes to the person who has gained the most points from their team’s vote across around 50 account workers in the industry. Kayli has shown her professionalism, diligence, calm manner and endless enthusiasm to storm to the front of the pack.
Good work Ms Franklin!
Rachel
