£1000 Mix Tape

If you haven’t heard, we’re giving away £1000 a day in the £1000 Mix tape. So far Laura Peters from Cheshunt in Enfield, Stewart Botham from Essex, Claire Colville from Maidenhead and the latest Ruairi Holyoake from Liverpool have all had a great start to 2011 by taking the prize. Laura and Stewart have both decided to spend their winnings on holidays, Claire revealed that she is going to splash out on some designer shoes, while Ruairi is putting the money towards his wedding. We like their style!

So here’s how it works. Breakfast Show DJ Christian O’Connell plays out a short montage, made up of very small clips of four songs and because they last less than a second and follow each other in immediate succession, the £1000 Mix Tape certainly isn’t easy.

If you’re like Laura, Stewart, Claire and Ruairi and can guess the four songs plus their corresponding artists correctly, you’ll win £1000!

Each day’s Mix Tape will feature four songs from one of the Absolute Radio family of radio stations, Absolute Radio, Absolute Classic Rock, Absolute 80s, Absolute Radio 90s or Absolute Radio 00s. If there is no winner on the Breakfast show the competition continues throughout the day during the No Repeat Guarantee with DJ’s Russ Williams and then Nick Jackson.

We will be giving small clues throughout the day on-air. So, if you’re stuck, keep listening to Absolute Radio on 105.8FM in London, DAB Digital Radio and 1215AM nationwide and online.

We’re also posting the clues on Facebook and Twitter, so like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter now. What are you waiting for. Call 0330 123 1215 when the on-air DJ tells you t and you could bag yourself £1,000 in our £1,000 mix tape.
