Every stream served from One Golden Square can be identified and recorded. Using the methodology stated here, we're able to cumulatively provide an accurate number of listening hours served.
Which stations are in the Absolute Radio Network?
Absolute Radio, Absolute Radio Classic Rock and Absolute 80s.
Do these figures include on-demand content or podcasting?
No. These figures only include live radio streaming hours.
Do these figures include listening from search engines such as Google?
No. We've removed listening by "robots" commonly used by search engines.
How do these figures compare with RAJAR?
RAJAR works on a sample estimate methodology and therefore isn't comparable with these figures which are derived from our server logs. This system measures actual streamed listening over computer and mobile devices.
Are these figures comparable with those of other stations?
We're working hard with industry colleagues to produce comparable figures between different broadcasters. You can find links to them on the main stats page. There will always be small differences between broadcasters, but we're working hard to iron those out and make the figures directly comparable.
